God And Your Work (1)

“Whatever you do, do well.” Ecc 9:10  In the Bible, you will notice that everybody works! And most of its heroes had secular vocations. Isaac developed real estate, Jacob was a rancher, Joseph served God best by staying in his well-paying government job rather than starting a nonprofit, faith-based organization to do charity work. Daniel was an immigrant who attended Babylon’s version of Oxford and grew to be prime minister. Lydia was a profitable businesswoman in textiles. Conceivably the ultimate expression of how much God values work is Jesus the carpenter. More than three-quarters of His life, He occupied Himself in the building profession, creating benches and tables, and was probably engaged in construction. The word we translate “carpenter” comes from the Greek word tektón, from which we get our word technology, and would contain the capability to do stone or masonry work. The Bible was penned by workers, about workers, and for workers. Work was God’s idea. “The Lord

Q: Will We Eat and Drink in Heaven?

Q: Will We Eat and Drink in Heaven? Jesus assured His disciples that some day they would “eat and drink at my table in my kingdom” (Luke 22:30). Some have speculated that glorified bodies will not require food for sustenance, but the Lord promised, “I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God” (Revelation 2:7). And John gives us a glimpse of this revelation: “On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month” (Revelation 22:2). This would indicate a bountiful supply from Creator God. Remember too that when Jesus appeared to His followers in His glorified body, He asked them if there were anything to eat. Luke reports that “they gave him a piece of broiled fish … and [He] ate it in their presence” (Luke 24:42–43). It wasn’t that Jesus was hungry, for He was no longer subject to human needs. I believe He ate with them for two reasons: to prove His bodily resurrection and for

“He gave us his Son—will he not also freely give us all things?” Roman 8:32  ( He who did not spare his own Son but delivered him up on behalf of us all, how will he not also with him freely give us all things? –Romans 8:32 ) Do you like to collect Bible promises for challenging times? When your collection seems inadequate, do you add to it, thinking, “I just haven’t found the right promise yet?” Claiming the promise without understanding the all-sufficiency of the Promiser can disappoint you. Since there is no lack in God, He is all you need. And He is all you will ever need! The Bible says, He can do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20 ). Seeking relief during a difficult time in life, author Hannah Whitall Smith visited a respected Bible teacher, hoping to find an answer. After listening attentively, the teacher told her, “Yes, all you say may be very true, but then, in spite of it all, there is God.” Frustrated, Hannah responded, “Surely you d

Accept the Bible's call for honor.

If you are a believer, the Bible calls you to respect your husband (Ephesians 5:33) or your wife (1 Peter 3:7). It does not say that wives should respect perfect husbands, or even righteous husbands. It does not say that husbands should respect agreeable or unusually loving wives. There are no qualifiers, because biblical respect, in a sense, comes with the rank, not the person. The apostle Paul insulted a man in bold language ("You whitewashed the wall!") but then when he learned he was speaking to a high priest, he apologized: "Brothers, I didn't know that He was the high priest; for it is written, "Do not speak ill of the ruler of your people" (Acts 23:3-5). Your spouse, because he is your life partner, deserves respect. You may disagree with his decision; You can object to the way things are handled—but according to the Bible, their position calls for you to give them due respect.

Who is equal to God?

In the Bible, we read that God is righteous and loves his people. And in the eyes of man, God is wise and very powerful. And no man can become strong by being stubborn towards God.   It is God without whose permission the sun never rises. Even the stars of the sky have to complete their work by taking his permission.   It is God who alone expands the sky, And walks on the high waves of the sea. If there is talk of power, then behold, God is mighty. And if we talk about justice, who will fight with God? As written in the Bible in Job 9:19. In the Bible, Job says that God is not a man like me, so that I can argue with him and we can both fight with each other. Job 9:32. Because Job is so frustrated and desperate in his life and because of his life being worthless, he uses such a word as we just read.

Is faith a gift of God?

Image
Note..:- Please read this blog till the ending.   May the Today Bible verses help you build a spiritual relationship with God. You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you To put it into my own words, saving faith is a free and unmerited gift, granted only to undeserving sinners, according to God's sovereign grace, through which we personally receive an irrevocable share in the full salvation accomplished for us by the Lord Jesus Christ. * Saving Faith The major point that I hope you will take away from this post is that saving faith is a gift of God, (Eph. 2:8) . Such faith is not something man produces within himself, (John 1:11-13) . As sobering as it is to recognize, it is important to understand that if God does not grant this undeserved gift to a sinner, their heart remains unchanged, unbelieving, and unredeemed, (Heb. 11:6). If God does not mercifully, powerfully, and irresistibly intervene in our suicidal rebellion ag

Hebrews..:–1 Genesis..:-45:1–46:27 Psalm:-36 In the Holy Bible in Hebrews we read how God spoke to our ancestors through a prophet in the Old Testament and in the New Testament God sent a descendant of His Son who was killed and buried for our sin. He also went and came alive on the third day for our righteousness. And in the last days, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to us and guided us, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the heir of all things, made this world into the earth as it is written in the Bible in Hebrews 1:2. And the Lord Jesus Christ, by the light and word of his glory, has maintained this place and all things. And the Lord is sitting on high today at the right hand of His Majesty, as we read in the Bible. The truth of God is eternal, it has reached the sky. And we Christ know that the throne of God is eternal and constant and is the scepter of judgment. And the mercy of God comes from heaven. What Jesus Christ does for his people, who love him (Jesus Christ) with
