Follow the path of righteousness

Image
Isaiah 48:17 says, "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go." When God created you, He prepared a life for you with a purpose and a way to fulfill that purpose. This purpose is the reason why you were created and brought here on Earth by God. And I want to assure you that if you follow this path, you will succeed in your life and fulfill God's purpose. God knows that with your human understanding, you can not know and follow this path. That's why in His word, He says He is the one who teaches you and guides you. First, He teaches you to know this path, and then He guides you on how to walk in it. The word says he directs you in the way you should go, meaning you don't have alternatives. This is a path you must follow. This path is a set of God's guidance and principles that you should follow as long as you live on this earth. The question I ask you today is: Which way did you use to get the job you

Are You With The Right People?

Image
Pursue righteous living…Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” 2 Timothy 2:22   If you want to be in God’s will and experience His blessings, you have to be around the right people. The people who are right for you are the people who will be honest with you. They don’t just tell you what you want to hear, but they tell you what you need to hear. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend.” (Proverbs 27:6). Good friends are not afraid to confront you.   Get around the right people because everybody who comes into your life brings a spirit. Sometimes, it is easy to gravitate to people we can relate to and who are similar to us. But the problem with that is, if you both share the same weaknesses, you will not grow in that area. You need to get around someone who is strong in the areas where you are weak. They know how to help get you to where you want to be.   In 2 Chronicles 10, Rehoboam had just been appointed king. Some of the leaders of Israel m

No Greater Love

Image
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13   Yesterday, we shared about the power of Jesus, but what is even more astounding about Jesus is His love for people. When the angry mob and guards came to arrest Jesus, Peter drew his sword and cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest. Peter did this to defend Jesus, but Jesus reprimanded Peter and then healed the man’s ear. Then Jesus made a profound statement. He said, “Do you not think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53) In Roman culture, twelve legions would have equated to 72,000 angels! In the book of Chronicles, just one angel killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. Jesus was saying no man could take His life.   In John 10:18, Jesus says, “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up.” It wasn’t t

Who’s Leading You?

Image
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 When the Israelites were traveling to the promised land, God would lead them by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. They wouldn’t make one move unless God’s cloud or fire moved. They knew that He had their best interests in mind.    Are you following God’s leading for your life? There are several ways you can be sure you are being led by God and not “leaning on your own understanding” for the decisions you have to make.   One way to be led by God is to make sure you are living according to His Word. The Bible is a roadmap that will lead you to great places if guided by it. God’s Word is “a lamp for your feet and a light on your path” Psalm 119:105. If you are making a decision not supported by the Bible, you are headed down a destructive path. The boundaries of the Bible are there to protect you and your family.   Another way to know what path you should be taking

God Is Good—All The Time!

Image
“See how good the Lord is. Happy is the person who trusts him.” Psalms 34:8    What you believe about God is crucial to the quality of your life, especially in difficult times. So, starting today, tell yourself, “God is good—all the time,” and keep saying it until it gets down into your spirit. What does it mean to be “good?” It means living up to the best and highest one knows. And since God always knows what’s best and highest, His goodness is beyond question. If God is good—genuinely, practically, consistently good—then your cup of well-being, security, peace, confidence, and joy should be overflowing! A good God can’t break His promise, abandon His children, or fail to love and provide for them. In every trial and circumstance, you can be sure He will treat you in the best possible way. When things seem to be falling apart, when you stumble confused in the dark, it’s hard to see God’s goodness or feel that things will get better. That’s when you must draw on the faith G

Stand in faith

“All things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23    One day a distraught father came to Jesus and said, “My son…frequently…falls into the fire and…the water…I brought him to Your disciples, and they were not able to cure him” (Matthew 17:15-16). Notice, he never once said, “Maybe my son inherited this problem from me” or “Perhaps if I had raised him differently.” No, he dumped the responsibility onto the disciples, who were themselves in training. Whenever we’re in trouble, we like to blame the pastor, the church, our mate, our boss, our family, our looks, our social status, or find some other excuse. We’re unable or unwilling to admit that we stuck our own hand in the fire or almost drowned by jumping in headfirst when we couldn’t swim. After Jesus healed the boy, His disciples asked Him, “Why can’t we do the things you do?” (See Matthew 17:19). That’s like asking, “Why isn’t my marriage working?” or “How come I’m still in debt?” or “Why isn’t my life going as plan

Accept the Bible's call for honor.

Image
If you are a believer, the Bible calls you to respect your husband (Ephesians 5:33) or your wife (1 Peter 3:7). It does not say that wives should respect perfect husbands, or even righteous husbands. It does not say that husbands should respect agreeable or unusually loving wives. There are no qualifiers, because biblical respect, in a sense, comes with the rank, not the person. The apostle Paul insulted a man in bold language ("You whitewashed the wall!") but then when he learned he was speaking to a high priest, he apologized: "Brothers, I didn't know that He was the high priest; for it is written, "Do not speak ill of the ruler of your people" (Acts 23:3-5). Your spouse, because he is your life partner, deserves respect. You may disagree with his decision; You can object to the way things are handled—but according to the Bible, their position calls for you to give them due respect.

Poverty of Soul

Image
For the foolishness of my people—they do not know me. They are idiotic people and they have no understanding. They have skill at evil, but do not know to do good. Jeremiah 4:22 No man is more pathetic than he who is in great need and is not aware of it. Remember Samson? Standing there in the valley of Sorek, surrounded by the lords of the Philistines, ” … he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.” It has been truly said, “No man is so ignorant as he who knows nothing and knows not that he knows nothing. No man is so sick as he who has a fatal disease and is not aware of it. No man is so poor as he who is destitute, and yet thinks he is rich.” The pitiable thing about the Pharisees was not so much their hypocrisy as it was their utter lack of knowledge of how poor they actually were in the sight of God. There is always something pathetic about a man who thinks he is rich when he is actually poor, who thinks he is good when he is actually vile, who thinks he is educate

Quotes for the sacrificial Jesus Christ for us.

Image
1. “They have left this realm of time and space, they have out-stripped us in life’s races, but the sacred memory of their selflessness and the freedom they died to obtain will live forever.” 2. “As we think of the selflessness and heroism of such fellows, we are reminded of the words of Jesus Christ who said: ‘Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." 3. “When we grieve over someone who has died in Christ, we are sorrowing not for them but for ourselves. Our grief isn’t a sign of weak faith, but of great love.” 4. “Even though the sacrifices of our war dead have been great, yet the greatest sacrifice of all time was made by a man on a cross who died not only physically but spiritually that men might live. We have neglected Him too long! We have rejected His plan for peace, and as a result, we have fought, bled and died for centuries!” 5. “Only Christ can meet the deepest needs of our world and our hearts. Christ alone can bring

What is spiritual pride and how can I detect it in my life?

Image
Spiritual pride is deadly and deceitful because from the outside it appears as a virtue. Jesus illustrated spiritual pride in a parable saying, “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican” (Luke 18:10). At Jesus’ time, the Pharisees were respected for their piety, while the publicans were regarded as great sinners. In the parable, the “Pharisee stood and prayed thus … God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess,” while the “publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner” (Luke 18:11–13). After the prayer, the humble publican went home justified and forgiven (Luke 18:14), while the Pharisee who trusted in his good works, did not. To those who recognize and admit their poor spiritual state and rely only on the

Faith can Moving Mountain

Note: - Please read this blog till the end. May today's Bible verse help you build a spiritual relationship with God. You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you Imagine what a different world this would be if we had more faith in God! If we truly put our faith and trust in Him, then there would be no more worrying, fear, or anxiety. Why, it would eliminate stress completely! The Bible tells us in Matthew 17:20, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” There hasn’t been any news flashes of someone moving a mountain, so it’s safe to say, we could all use more faith! Thankfully, God honors even the tiniest amount of faith. And the more we exercise the faith we do have, the more it grows! Sometimes God allows us to go through trials and tribulations to strengthen our faith in Him. You can also increase your faith by st

Who is equal to God?

Image
In the Bible, we read that God is righteous and loves his people. And in the eyes of man, God is wise and very powerful. And no man can become strong by being stubborn towards God.   It is God without whose permission the sun never rises. Even the stars of the sky have to complete their work by taking his permission.   It is God who alone expands the sky, And walks on the high waves of the sea. If there is talk of power, then behold, God is mighty. And if we talk about justice, who will fight with God? As written in the Bible in Job 9:19. In the Bible, Job says that God is not a man like me, so that I can argue with him and we can both fight with each other. Job 9:32. Because Job is so frustrated and desperate in his life and because of his life being worthless, he uses such a word as we just read.

God With You.

Luke 22:39–71 Genesis 40 Psalm 31 It is said in the Bible that whoever accepts the Son of God will have eternal life, and he who does not accept his life is ruined. And we read that in Genesis the drinker and the cook made some crime against their master (king of Egypt). Due to which he had to go to jail where he found Yusuf and one night he dreamed according to his promising. And God knows the secret of every dream. And we read that God was always with Yusuf and Yusuf was able to tell the secret of his dream. As we see how the head of the drinker was innocent and the cook was guilty and the dream he had had also come true. We can read about him in the Bible in Genesis 40. , In the same way we remember God, he does not forget us. Sometimes our circumstances are not right, but God definitely gets us out of those troubles, he does not keep us in trouble for a long time. God has a plan for every believer like we see many prophets and people in the bible how God gave them many

Is it possible for a Christian to rejoice always?

Image
Rejoice in hardships Among all of God’s apostles, Paul wrote much about how to rejoice in hardships although he seemed to have cause for nothing but sorrow. For him, however, sorrow and joy are not mutually exclusive alternatives, for he knew well how to rejoice amid trials and persecution. Paul wrote to the Church of Corinthians, “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” (2 Corinthians 6:10). The apostle rejoiced in God’s providential leading. This attitude reflected the mind of Christ. And Paul encouraged the believers to press on “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer” (Romans 12:12 also  Hebrews 2:10–18). Paul’s spirit of victory is probably best seen in the book of Philippians, whose key word is “rejoice.” Yet, when he wrote that book he was in prison, forsaken, alone, and in danger of immediate death. He wrote, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4, 11). * God’s gift of joy The Lord not only supp

The new covenant is Jesus Christ.

Note: - Please read this blog till the end. May today's Bible verse help you build a spiritual relationship with God. You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you In the Bible we read that Jesus Christ is the High Priest for ever and ever and who sat at the right hand of the Majesty's throne in heaven. Because Jesus has received more service than the priests, and the mediator of the perfect covenant has also been appointed to Jesus Christ, which is bound by better promises. It is not like the old covenant that God made with our ancestors in which God brought all the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt and they did not stick to God's covenant, because of which God did not remember them as written in the Bible Hebrews 8:9 God has spoken. But it is like a covenant in which God puts his commandments and rules in our hearts, he reminds us of that law, his love helps us make up our minds and he is our God and we are God&

The kingdom of God is eternal.

Hebrews..:–1 Genesis..:-45:1–46:27 Psalm:-36 In the Holy Bible in Hebrews we read how God spoke to our ancestors through a prophet in the Old Testament and in the New Testament God sent a descendant of His Son who was killed and buried for our sin. He also went and came alive on the third day for our righteousness. And in the last days, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to us and guided us, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the heir of all things, made this world into the earth as it is written in the Bible in Hebrews 1:2. And the Lord Jesus Christ, by the light and word of his glory, has maintained this place and all things. And the Lord is sitting on high today at the right hand of His Majesty, as we read in the Bible. The truth of God is eternal, it has reached the sky. And we Christ know that the throne of God is eternal and constant and is the scepter of judgment. And the mercy of God comes from heaven. What Jesus Christ does for his people, who love him (Jesus Christ) with

You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you Christians talk a lot about being ‘close to God,’ but what does that really mean? For some, if they go to church once a week, they consider themselves to be walking with Jesus - while others feel as long as they pray every day - that they have a close relationship with their Creator. But if you want a real close friendship with God - allow Him to penetrate every aspect of your life, where God is not only “first” in your life - He is your “everything!” Make Him a part of all that you do - whether that’s eating breakfast, deciding what to wear, making a business deal, driving the kids to school, and every other activity in your day! In other words, be “in His presence” 24/7. * God loves you so much and longs for you to lean on Him for advice, wisdom, guidance, comfor

Lord, stay me.

In Psalm 25, the musicians want to say that the company of evil is not right, we should not keep the company of evil. Rather, we should associate with people who are truthful and hungry for the word of God and with believers. Like it happened in Genesis 34, when Shechem had sex with Dinah, but later I fell in love with her and wanted to marry her, and Shechem obeyed all the conditions of Dinah's brothers, but Jacob's sons hated her. It was also that they killed everyone by taking a sword in his city and kidnapped all the animals, along with I kidnapped the woman of their city and the children too, but Jacob was very sad and told his children that what you have done is wrong. And now they will take revenge on us and kill us and annihilate me, but they did not listen to Jacob and said that how can we let the city that has done bad to our sister live so peacefully. Just as it is written in the Bible in Luke 19:28–48, when the Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples that n

What Is the Relationship Between Teaching and Signs in the Bible? Part–1

Image
Note..:- Please read this blog till the ending. May the Today Bible verses help you build a spiritual relationship with God. You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you. In the Hebrew Bible To further understand the relationship between teaching and signs, let’s get a quick overview of how these words are used in the story of the Bible. The Hebrew word for sign is ’ot. When we track this word through the Old Testament, we learn that signs are given to warn people, execute divine judgement, and deliver people from oppression (e.g., Israel’s exodus from Egypt). Signs are also given to guide and mark sacred time. For example, they are assigned to each covenant, confirm divine directions, memorialize instances of God’s miraculous protection, and highlight laws that mark sacred days and years (e.g., the Sabbath and circumcision). Lastly, Isaiah prophesies about a sign that would lead to the birth of Immanuel, meaning “God with us,” and another that

Faith and Works.

Note..:- Please read this blog till the ending. May the Today Bible verses help you build a spiritual relationship with God. You read this verse and understand what God is telling you and what God wants from you. “Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6) . There are many in the Christian world who claim that all that is necessary to salvation is to have faith; works are nothing, faith is the only essential. But God's Word tells us that faith without works is dead, being alone. Many refuse to obey God's commandments, yet they make a great deal of faith. But faith must have a foundation.  God's promises are all made upon conditions. If we do His will, if we walk in truth, then we may ask what we will, and it shall be done unto us. While we earnestly endeavor to be obedient, God will hear our petitions; but He will not bless us in disob
