When Death Takes Someone You Love

Image
If you are walking through a time of grief, you know the agony of what it’s like to have a broken heart and to feel waves of despair wash over you. Grieving the loss of a loved one is a journey that each person must walk through individually, but God has promised to walk with you one step at a time. । Cycle of Healing । Grief and bereavement often come in waves of sorrow that recede only as the cycles of healing are allowed to occur. The following are all natural elements of the grieving and healing process. Initial shock of death: that intense emotional impact which sometimes leaves a feeling of emotional paralysis. Emotional release: a time often characterized by weeping. Loneliness and depression: a sense of loss, often related to the degree of dependence on the person who died. Guilt: a feeling characterized by second-guessing—“I could have done more” or “I should have done something differently.” Anger, hostility: asking “Why did God let him die?” “Why didn’t God answer my prayer

Do you surrender .?

Image
It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others. —Ephesians 2:10  Happiness and all of the unlimited benefits which flow from the storehouse of heaven are contingent upon our relationship to God. Absolute dependency and absolute yieldedness are the conditions of being His child. Only His children are entitled to receive those things that lend themselves to happiness; and in order to be His child, there must be surrender of the will to Him. We must admit we are poor before we can be made rich. We must admit we are destitute before we can become children of adoption. When we realize that all our own goodness is as filthy rags in God’s sight, and become aware of the destructive power of our stubborn wills; when we realize our absolute dependence upon the grace of God through faith and nothing more, then we have started on the road to happiness. Man does not c

God Will Guide You on What to Do, Trust in Him

Image
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you." Psalm 32:8 Maybe today you have a challenge or problem that is giving you a hard time, and you don't know what tomorrow will bring, or you are at a point in your life where you need to make decisions and you don't know what the right choices are. Or you want to do something but so far you don't know how to achieve it, and you don't know how to go about it. If you are in such a situation, the only thing to do for now is to ask God to guide you, and if you have already done so, believe that He is working on your matter and therefore He will show you the right thing to do. Do not be afraid because of the uncertainties surrounding you now and the darkness you see in your life, even if there is something you once believed was God's will but it has suddenly changed and now you are worried, not knowing what God's will is. Do not give up, pray aga

Fearful of fatherhood.?

Image
How can I be a good father? My own father walked out on us when I was about seven, and I have this terrible fear that I'm not going to be a very good father either. How can I prevent this? Have you ever asked yourself why you have this fear? One reason is probably because you didn’t grow up with a father—and as a result, you have no example to follow, and you’re afraid you don’t know what fatherhood is all about. But I can tell from your letter that you want to be a good father—and that’s an important first step! God wants you to be a good father and will help you as you depend on Him. After all, He is our Heavenly Father and is the supreme example of what it means to be a father. Make Christ the center of your life (and the life of your family) and trust Him to help you be the best father you can be. How can you be a good father? Let me suggest four brief guidelines (although we could say much more). First, love your children—and let them know you love them. The Bible

The Cure for Anxiety

Image
Looking in the Wrong Places Modern men and women have fled to their ivory towers and there, surrounded by their luxuries, their computerized gadgets, and their false sense of security, they hide from reality, from their conscience, and from God. But even in their gilded ivory towers, they are hounded by the feeling that they are not the persons they ought to be, that they are not living the life they ought to live, and that “life [is] more than food and the body more than clothing” (Matthew 6:25). External luxury is a cheap substitute for spiritual wholeness. Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, warned us against anxiety: “Why do you worry about clothing? … Do not worry … about your body, what you will put on. … Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ … But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (cf. Matthew 6:25–34). . External luxury is a cheap substitute for spir

KNOW YOUR PURPOSE

Image
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart... Jeremiah 1:5"  The most important question in your life that you must first ask yourself and make sure you get the correct answer is, "Who am I?" Because if you do not know who you are here on earth, you may live a life that has no benefit, especially to your creator.  Why do I say this? You were created for God's purpose, "You are not a result of a natural process." God created you for a purpose, which is why He told Prophet Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you," For your life to be beneficial to God, you must fulfil His purpose.  So, the important thing here is to ask yourself, "Who does God know me as?" Then He says, "And before you were born, I set you apart." If Jeremiah was set apart for a special work, then everyone is set apart for a special work. For Jeremiah, God told him, "I appointed you as a

God disciplines those he loves

Image
"Behold, blessed is the one whom God corrects; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty." Job 5:17: The act of God disciplining humans in scripture is described as an act of love because if you err and God decides to leave you alone, your end will be bad. The punishment mentioned here is not to destroy you but to make you fear doing what God has forbidden. Proverbs 3:11-12 says: "My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in." Therefore, God's discipline is akin to how a parent disciplines their child to foster obedience and manners. The Word of God in Hebrews 12:6-11 says: "And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: 'My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone
